چکیده

We have proposed a fruitful design principle targeting concentration ratio (CR) >1000× for typical high concentrating photovoltaics (HCPV) system, on account of two-concentrator system + homogenizer. The primary dual-lens concentrator unit, completely analogous basic optics seen in the superposition compound eyes, is trend not hitherto reported solar concentrators to our knowledge. Such consisting two aspherical lenses, can be applied minify sunlight and reveal useful effects. underline that, at this stage, CR attained by orders magnitude simply varying radius such lenses known from side. output beam spatially minimized nearly parallel, exactly as occurs eye. In scheme, thanks an array design, sequence equidistant focal points formed. secondary consists multi-reflective channel, which collect all concentrated beams small area where cell placed. located right underneath concentrator. optical characteristics are substantiated simulations that confirm applicability thousands-fold gain value, ~1100×. This, however, also reduced uniformity illumination area. To regain uniformity, we devise fully new homogenizer, hinging scattering principle. A calculated efficiency entire ~75%. Experimentally, prototype implemented evaluate converging features. As final note, mention approach may extended implement even higher CR, it taking extra unit. With simple part, allow fabrication process modeling method large acceptant angle (0.6°), assess its potential part general strategy highly efficient CPV with minimal critical elaboration steps flexibility.

Simulation Study of Continuous Solar Adsorption Refrigeration System Driven by Compound Parabolic Concentrator

Solar adsorption refrigeration is promising technology especially in the developing countries and remote areas because the system can be driven by solar energy without involving electricity. Therefore, it is technologically possible and socially feasible in the areas where electricity is not enough but solar energy is rather easy to obtain. The conventional system works intermittently and produ...

Lens-Photovoltaic Cell Coupling in a Holographic Solar Concentration System

A solar concentration system formed by two holographic cylindrical lenses is proposed. It redirects part of the incident solar spectrum towards a PV cell, concentrating only the cell’s most efficient wavelength range, while the rest is transmitted, not causing overheating. Simulations with oneand two-axes tracking are carried out.
